The Season of Choosing...

Hey Loves.
It's been so long since I've actually sat and opened Blogger. Blogging has always been a joyous reliever for me, but my heart has been so dedicated to 31 & Rubies, LLC lately. If you have no clue on what 31 & Rubies is... SIS, where you been?? You're not following me on Instagram? Let's stop and get that together. Go ahead. Get your phone and follow me at allthingsbrie, then follow the ministry at 31rubiesllc.

31 & Rubies, in a nutshell is a platform for women to fellowship. receive encouragement and reach free resources to aid in their journey with Christ. Along with the resources, Women of the Word is a group chat where women can actually connect, share prayer requests, gospel playlist and I send morning devotionals Monday through Friday. It's been pretty amazing thus far. Being able to be transparent in sharing our truths and what we know - and learning how we can heal and grow from that through Christ. Being a woman of the Word versus of the world is a privilege, it's a higher calling that I am so blessed to acknowledge at this point in my life. If you're interested in joining simply send me a direct message on Instagram!

But in addition to new things, like the ministry, I've picked up some mental tactics that have been encouraging me to live more. Sadly so much has been going on in the world - when isn't it a lot going on really? More specifically death. A word I've never been afraid of, also rarely crosses my mind. The passing of public figures and personal members in my life has drawn me to think about more of what I enjoy and what I want NOW out of life. Key word, NOW. Not for my future, not for the next 3 months of 2018, but currently what do I want? This past Sunday, I took the time out to write what joy, peace and clarity look like for me. Doing what will bring me joy...doing what will bring me joy right now, started off my journaling prompt. And ended with a declaration to affirm this is what's going to happen. I'm taking it a moment at a time. Doing good as I go, praying as often as possible and remembering why I am called to do what I do. We are called to help. Whatever it may be that you're doing - the end mission is to help someone else. Choosing to be intentional about being in the moment is hard, not a breeze in the park or a easy drive-thru. You have to convince yourself constantly that the future isn't as important as right now. For me, it's consistently reflecting. Here are some affirmations I wrote:

I allow myself to be in...

The season of choosing to be present,

The season of choosing to be joyful in any circumstance...

The season of choosing to me, because I am fearfully and wonderfully made in His image...

The season of choosing to be at peace with where I am, because where I am now is okay... for now...

The season of choosing to be hear God and be still when it's time...

The season of choosing to be grateful and humble...

The season of choosing to be mindful of how I think and what I do...

What are deciding on choosing for this season that you're in?
