I Keep Going

I often find myself wondering why I go through certain things. I wonder what exactly God doing and how is this going to make me stronger. I've always been told and read in books that many times we all go through certain things so that we can be prepared for the blessings that is about to come. My blessing must be H U G E. Not to say my 2017 hasn't been going great so far but I keep falling, falling hard... and on my face. One big thing I learned toward the end of 2016 was that your thoughts turn into your lifestyle. So I've been training my mind to turn negatives into positives. Its been working. Currently I am going through everything I thought I would never come across, and in the midst of it all I'm positive. I keep going. I think that's exactly what God wants us to do while we're at rock bottom. Stay faithful and know it's in Gods hands.

Currently at the state I am in, I'm trying to be hopeful. I try to get some sleep but constantly find myself waking up at 12 am then 3 am and then 6 am. I know exactly what I need to do to stay stable but I've done 3 times already in a day and it's not working. I'm not asking God to make it easier because I am or at least I think , no I am strong enough to go through some struggles and pain to see what gift and blessing God has in store for me (Jeremiah 29:11). Reading Jeremiah 29:1, "For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future," throughout the day that scripture keeps me secure, or in comfort to know that He would never do anything to harm me or fail me. Only to make me stronger. I am strong, Brianna, my name itself means strength.

If you are currently going through something, and feel like the tunnel is so dark and long you don't even think there's a light or way out I suggest these 3 things:

  1. Prayer (don't just close your eyes, actually get on your knees, bow your head, hands together and pray)
  2. Tea (hot chamomile with honey is my go-to with a pinch of lemon)
  3. A good laugh (watch a movie, reread old conversations from friends, pull up a YouTube video, dance crazy and laugh at yourself)
-be proud of yourself, you've made it this far-
